Re: Anyone with ideas on how to help an autistic friend socialize with people?

I have a friend who is having a bit of an autism disorder. I want him to be more open with people around him. So far he
is enjoying the company that I bring him, but for me it's not enough that he stays home. I want him to experience social
life. Thought I'd approach you guys if you can help. My friend's 21 years old.

I'm no medical expert, but when it comes to socializing, I think he can meet more people at the nearest bar. Just to make
sure, will you be accompanying him?

That's good to know that you'll be sticking around for him. Hope he gets better soon.

Autism is the biggest obstacle to a person's social skills, is it not?

@moazowa - Thanks!
@jagermaster - I agree. If not cured soon, it will create bigger problems.

Your friend can also have fun in the discos when he's all better, but for the time being you wouldn't want to rush him.
Always progress one step at a time.
