Just felt that I needed to take a drink as of the moment. I've been promoted to a higher position by my boss, but the only
thing is that I will be living a bit farther from my home since I will have to commute a long six hours or more.

You should feel happy about that. Don't see why you're spending your time consuming alcohol in the middle of a promotion.

Well, sort of. Don't know why. I should be happy alright, but it feels like I love my current job. Don't get me wrong,
but being promoted is a real and rare honor, though I wish there were no risks added.

Why don't you talk with your boss to simply promote you without transferring you to another location?

I'm with jagermaster...best to speak your mind in matters like this. At least you should get a chance to explain why you should not
be transferred.
