Re: Non-alcoholic options for going to bars?

I have just started going to bars and clubs but do not drink alcohol at all.
I am always a bit confused what to order at bars and clubs etc when it comes to drinks and was wondering if Reddit had any favorites or just any drink they knew of that was non-alcoholic but not boring and everyday like plain soda or just water.
Aside from plain soda and a glass of water, what is there generally?

As an Australian I second lemon, lime and bitters. My designated driver's drink of choice.
Also in NSW bars are required to provide free water if they're serving alcohol. Grab a cup and take advantage of the jug on the bartop.

My personal favorite is ginger ale. It's expensive in the grocery store and otherwise I only get it on planes, so it's a treat.
But it's just plain soda. Some places carry some fun non-alcoholic bottled sodas.

Club soda or water with a lime or cranberry juice. The water in a lot of bars tastes terrible so the lime helps with that.
Having some fruit like a lime in your drink also keeps some drunks from giving you a hard time about not drinking.

Since getting pregnant, I've invented the perfect nonalcoholic drink (for me).. it's 3/4s pineapple juice, 1/4 sprite, and a splash of grenadine. I likes it.
