Re: Why choose one bar over another?

I'm sitting here and decided to write up a business plan for a bar one day that I would like to own.
My only thing is I would like to honor my heritage by serving Scandinavian foods, liqueurs and beers.
I just don't think that that would be enough. What would I have to offer that would get you in the door?

A viking bar called Norhalla. Us warriors are dying to get in.

That's probably my number one choice for a bar name too.

Re: Why choose one bar over another?

Dude where would you have this bar that you would one day own.
A bar called Nalhalla would be amazing. I'd just check it out from the name.
I think it's the perfect name cuz it brings up images of warriors drinking together in a great hall filled with beautiful women.
If you had some sort of locally made Mead it would be even more awesome.
Also...you probably weren't thinking it but don't make it tacky by putting all sorts of viking imagery around.
If you wanted mature/intelligent...some kind of subtle psuedo-modern-viking design would work really well.

Re: Why choose one bar over another?

Back when I was still working in the hospitality industry, a bogan metalhead friend and I were considering opening up a bar dedicated to decent rock music, calling it Nalhalla, and getting Jack Daniels to sponsor the whole thing.
I reckon it would have been awesome.
