It makes you drink more. If you're at a bar, and you can't have a good conversation, you might as well try to get a buzz going to pass the time.

Males feel more confident with background thumps and thus order more. I do. Though, I prefer the silence of TV and gin in my living room.

Because of the lack of offered hearing protection and education, staff who work in bars are often more likely to have noise induced hearing loss than people who work in Mining.
