Salsa or Ballroom? What should be first?

I have been considering dance lessons for a long time.
I'm finally gonna do it.
Everyone has told me to take both salsa and ballroom. I am wondering which to do first.

I understand salsa, it will teach you a lot about following the rhythm... but ballroom?
dunno bout that one. I guess if you needed it for like wedding or something,
but as a basic platform, I think you could save your money on that one.
