Re: Kalinka - A Taste of Moscow and many more

Guys, did u know that Kalinka draws its memories from the Soviet era? Yes, from the Lenin bust to the Russian flags.
The only thing that's Russian (read: post-Soviet) are the DJs and their music, such that Stalin would have this
place padlocked. The vodka is what reminds me of this place - native and exotic, as if you've visited ol' USSR. Any
memories of this place you'd like 2 share?

Hmmm...the Kalinka used to have Soviet Russian students and tourists during the Gorbachev era, stopping by for a quick drink.
Since the fall of the wall this place holds some certain nostalgia of Soviet history.

Not much except that it's the only Commie-friendly bar for visitors on the Eastern bloc, until the Curtain's lifted.
Today it's just a tourist's memorabilia...*sheds tears while reminiscing the past*
