Re: Birthday places in New Orleans?

Good places to hold a birthday party? Lived here for awhile and slightly surprised I have to ask
Barwhiz for help. Lol. Here is a little about it. So it's a small party.
I'm trying to come up with a list of local bars that would be simple to fit around twenty or so on a friday or saturday?
Any ideas? I thought Lucy's would be alright but trying to look at some new places that I haven't really been to around here.
Preferably something where I can hear my voice, not too loud, with reasonably priced drinks.
Otherwise I'm not too picky.

Re: Birthday places in New Orleans?

Ooo oooo! try Bayoue Beer Garden.
I booked a bday for about 50 people on the outdoor patio on a friday night.
There was no rental fee. Just a cleanup fee of about 25 bucks.
I'm still amazed there is no rental fee as everywhere else in town you'll find they'll charge you $200 upward,
and that's just for the space. You pay for the kegs separately, but so what? Also there is no minimum bar tab. Have fun. :)

Can't improve upon that really. ^^^ Do you like wine? I have a few ideas besides Lucy's.

Re: Birthday places in New Orleans?

Bayou is NICE. I like it a lot, we're just trying to find a bit nicer place and are willing to pay for it.
Somewhere to wander around and do some dancing.
I love wine, though not something I think will suit the entire group as a lot aren't wine drinkers.
It's for me btw, it's for friends.

I'd recommend Vitascope at the Hyatt. It has a couple private rooms good for parties.
There is one that is perfect for a twenty person birthday.
