Re: Saudi tourist seeing Turkey for the first time

Assalam'allaikum, or greetings from Saudi Arabia. As a Saudi tourist visiting Turkey, I can't believe that I am experiencing the
lush scenery of Turkish nightlife and more. I feel a sense of freedom as I don't feel constrained by my country's ultra-strict policies.
I've just visited Club Reina and I say we have nothing like this at home in Riyadh. You can basically hang out at night without any
sense of danger from the muttawa.

Welcome to Istanbul. It's good to know that someone is experiencing freedom here in Turkey as compared to the strictly conservative nature
of Saudi laws.

Saudi's doing reforms, but they take so slow. Any decent citizen yearning for freedom won't wait for a hundred years for change to come in, but
if necessary, he'll fight the establishment.

Re: Saudi tourist seeing Turkey for the first time

I'm amazed at all the comments made. To be honest, my country has that habit of being stuck in their own little world, while we ordinary citizens
are tightly controlled by their religious police, or mutaween. On the outside, we Saudis feign compliance to avoid being caught or arrested, but
behind the TV screens we have been quietly yearning for freedom. And leonidaspushkin, I couldn't agree more - reforms take very long due to
extreme conservatism.

Don't worry, while you're out of Saudi Arabia you can do what you want, even take pictures of Istanbul and the Bosphorus. You can even bring your
family with you. Visit clubs such as Club Blanco and Club Reina, watch rock bands at Caravan Bar - it's your day.
