Re: I've been short-changed...thanks a lot.

I've ordered for this top-shelf liquor at a bar for around $5 dollars. I had no spare change but a full $50, so I gave the bartender
that. After returning I was given a change of 15 bucks. WHAT? I paid for 5 bucks with a 50 dollar bill and all I get is a loose change
of 15? Come on. I told the bartender I paid 50 dollars, thus the bartender returned to the cashier and told her that I paid 5-0, not 2-0.
Guess what, the cashier then tells me that I gave her 20 but I said 50. The bartender refused to take part in our little spat and I said
that i'll report both to the manager if they don't give me the exact change I desire. Finally they both complied and the cashier gave me
30 dollars more. Thanks for wasting 20 minutes of my time :sarcasm:

A number of cashiers and bartenders act in collusion at times. While most of the time their errors aren't obvious, there are those who
will make such glaring mistakes. But the only reason they do that is due to labor-management relations which can be resolved internally.

Some bars and pubs are ripping off their patrons blind. One thing you know, you've ordered for a draft beer and the next thing you'll be
given is non-alcoholic.

@funnybone: Well, there're some frequently visited bars that rob their victims, but it's quite rare. That's because a bar's reputation
lies in its customers and patrons. The more customers they attract, the better for the bar and its staff.

It pays to be vigilant alright. I make doubly sure that the amount to be paid is being tendered. If you're certain you tendered a hundred
dollars for an entrance fee of 4.95, at least make sure you count your change of 95 dollars.
