Re: Party location help?

So I need some help.
I'm trying to throw a special 30th birthday party for one of my friends but there are... issues.

She's said she'd like to do something for dinner, somewhat nice-ish. She suggested the Melting Pot.
The only catch being, she doesn't have a ton of money to drop.
Basically, no money to drop. She has a guest list of about 20 people.
She wants to dress up a little bit, maybe have a private room but not have to pay for said room, spend about -or less than- twenty dollars per person,
and let everyone pay for themselves.

Iron Age in Duluth has an AYCE pork belly and brisket for S14.99/PP. It comes with all the fixins, and Ice cream.
You get to cook the food at the table as well.

Re: Party location help?

She's asking for a whole lot given the budget.
I personally would do something like one of the many fabulous hole in the walls on Buford Highway [or elsewhere] and go ahead and get all dolled up while I'm at it, too.
I would probably concoct a theme so everyone can partake of it and make it fun -- like Bow Ties & BBQ, Formal wear & falafels.
It's fun when you get a group to do play along and you'll have awesome photos. Then you can go all fancy to karaoke or out dancing or bowling or whatever.

Eclipse di Luna - the vibe is cool/trendy and the drinks are great! They serve spanish tapas - so you can choose to eat less and pay less

Einstein's could be good--they have private rooms, five dollar martinis, and the food is fairly reasonably priced, if not mediocre.
