The Best Halloween Themed Martinis

It’s that spooky time of year again, when strange kids disguised as super heroes and ghouls come knocking at you door, begging for treats in the form of candy.

This can be a stressful time of year for any homeowner. What happens if your treats just aren’t good enough, or god forbid, that you run out of candy?

Retribution from the neighbourhood kids in the form of eggs, and toilet paper is usually what happens.

So if you are like me, and need to take a bit of the edge off during this spooky time of year, these Halloween Themed Martinis should do the trick:

1. Bloody Rum
Halloween Cocktail
Ingredients:

10 oz. rum
8 oz. red wine
3 oz. fresh lime juice
3 oz. Triple sec liqueur
3 oz. simple sugar syrup
2 limes.
2 red oranges.

Directions:

Slice limes and orange into thin slices, pour all ingredients and the sliced fruit into a bowl.
Place in the refrigerator for at least two hours before serving. Serve with Ice.

2. Vampire Kiss Martini

Ingredients:

1.5 oz. Chilled Vodka
1.5 oz. Champagne
0.75 oz Rasberry (better yet Black Raspberry) Liqueur

Directions:

Sparkle red sugar on rim of a Martini glass (you can mix sugar with red food coloring), pour vodka, champagne and half of the liqueur in a Martini glass and mix, pour the remaining liqueur over the back of a spoon to make it float.

3. Jack-O-Tini

Ingredients:

1/2 oz Apple juice
1/2 oz Cranberry Juice
1 1/2 oz Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey
Dash of cinnamon

Directions:
Chill martini glass. Add juice and Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until chilled. Pour into chilled glass. Garnish with a dash of cinnamon.

4. Wolf Bite
Ingredients:

1 oz Absinthe
1 oz Melon Liqueur
1 oz lemon/lime soda
1.5 oz pineapple juice
Drizzle of grenadine

Directions:

Mix together in a shaker: Absinthe, Melon liqueur, Pineapple juice and ice.
shake and pour into 2 ounce shot glass. Splash a bit of lemon soda and Grenadine,
do not mix in order to keep the creepy look.

5. Swamp Monster Egg-Tini
Caviar Martini
Ingredients:

1/2 oz dry vermouth
2 oz gin
Ice cubes
handful of caviar eggs

Directions:
Chill martini glass; add the vermouth swirling to coat the glass. Pour out remaining liquid. Add gin to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until chilled. Pour into chilled glass. Garnish with a handful of caviar eggs and set under black light for vibrant blue effect.

Bonus Halloween Drink: Frog in a Blender
I just had to add this one in. And no, this isn’t from our Gross-Out Bar Drink Of The Month for October.

A rather snotty looking cocktail
Ingredients:
2 oz vodka
4 oz cranberry juice
2 lime wheels
Assorted berries
Ice Cubes

Directions:
Place all the ingredients in a blender. Blend for 3-5 seconds (ingredients will not be completely blended). Pour into a chilled hurricane glass.

Directions:
Chill martini glass, add the vermouth swirling to coat the glass. Pour remainding liquid out. Add gin to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until chilled. Pour into chilled glass. Garnish with a skewered pickled baby beet.

Vampire Killer Cocktail

Ingredients:
3/4 oz Gin
3/4 oz Dry Vermouth
5 drops of Lime Juice
1 clove of garlic

Directions:
Chill martini glass, add the vermouth swirling to coat the glass. Pour remaining liquid out. Add gin and lime juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until chilled. Pour into chilled glass. Garnish with a clove of roasted garlic.

Vampire Lover Cocktail

Ingredients:
1 oz white chocolate liqueur
1 oz vanilla vodka
2 oz cream
3 tablespoons corn syrup (for blood)
1/4 teaspoons red food coloring (for blood)

Directions:
Prepare corn syrup and food coloring mixture. Coat the rim of the glass with mixture, allow mixture to drip down the sides. Chill martini glass. Add vodka, chocolate liqueur, and cream to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until chilled. Pour into chilled glass.

Spider’s Kiss
Halloween Cocktail
Ingredients:
1.5 oz Melon Liqueur
1.5 oz Vodka
1 Fresh Lemon
1 Slice of Orange (Optional- Can be dipped in chocolate too)

Directions:
Pour chocholate syrup gently into a Martini glass in the desired shape (try to make a spider’s web), place in the freezer for the chocolate to harden. When done freezing mix the Melon Liqueur and Vodka together and poor into the martini glass, squeeze in some lemon juice (about half an ounce) and add the slice of orange as decoration.

Devil’s Drink
Devils Drink
Ingredients:
1 oz Gin
1 oz Pumpkin Spice Liqueur
1/2 oz Peach Brandy
Club Soda

Directions:
Add gin and Pumpkin Spice Liqueur to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until chilled. Pour into a glass and add club soda to fill.

Spooky Red

Ingredients:
1/2 oz vodka
1/2 oz light rum
1/2 oz gin
1/2 oz Peach Schnapps
Cranberry Juice
Ice cubes

Directions:
Add vodka, light rum, gin, and Peach Schnapps to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until chilled. Pour into a glass and add cranberry juice until the desired color is reached.
