I never expected to see such a substandard bar which is either becoming a pool hall or a restaurant - and if it tries to be both, it's a mess. The food was ok though, but the place is too crampy. Over all, the place is average at most - not bad, but sadly not very good either.
The food tastes really good here. I decided to come here on my own, though a friend asked me to visit another bar. I went for their vegetarian Butter Bean and Lentil burger though I'm not much of a vegetarian myself, and it was really good - even better than the meat burgers they serve. Glad I followed my instincts, and will convince my friend to try out this bar.
This is a great pub for entertainers and artists, as they come by everyday. If you're a resident of Allston, you'll have no problem getting by as it's just a walking distance away. The only problem is when you'll be driving a vehicle on your way here, as there's no parking lot over at the pub. The interior of the place is ok as well, nice to hang over especially if you have friends. Also it's best if you have company when you come here especially when watching the late night/early am shows.
